The Isles of Scilly comprise of five inhabited islands and countless other rocks and islets inhabited only by seals and seabirds. The islands are not only abundant with wildlife and beautiful views that make a wonderful holiday destination but are also a vibrant working community of around 2000 people. Whilst tourism is the main industry, the ancient island traditions of farming and fishing continue, and pilot gig racing takes place throughout the warmer months forming a powerful link between the past and the present of life in this special place.
